VIPS (Notification Within Plant Pests) has been developed by NIBIO and the Norwegian Agricultural Advisory Service. The advisory service registers attacks by pests in the field, while NIBIO provides climate data and takes care of the development, operation and maintenance of the system. The Norwegian Meteorological Institute provides weather forecasts that are used in the forecast models. The partners are not financially responsible for any losses that may arise from the use of the service.The app makes it easier to register findings of pests in agriculture.
